Academic Common Market - Paperwork Goes In!

We love the Academic Common Market!

Here is what you need to know.

  1. Submission can begin at the Maryland Higher Education Commission (if you are a MD student) start of March 1st and must be completed no later than June 30th. I recommend early so that all paperwork is easily processed before tuition is due (typically July.) Review and confirmation take 4 - 6 weeks. Other states have less rigid deadlines, but if you follow the MD timeline you will be in good shape.

  2. Find your Academic Common Market state contact

  3. Complete application submitting the following documents

  • Copy of letter showing admission to the school and the academic common market major

  • Copy of student and parent driver’s license

  • Copy of one in-state motor vehicle registration.

Again, the average turnaround time for confirmation so that your student's school processes for your tuition bill to reflect in-state is 4-6 weeks. Don't wait.
