We recommend all families complete the FAFSA and CSS Profile (when applicable) not only for need grants but also to establish a baseline and, for some schools, open up doors for merit scholarships. For families that don't believe they will be eligible for need grants or merit scholarships, we still recommend filing to establish the ability to pay for need-aware schools.
