Marshall University
Huntington, West Virginia 10,000 undergrads, Mid-range SAT 900-1050
Students at Marshall University seem to have a spirit of unity about them; they probably bleed dark green...as the shout, "We are Marshall." Tucked into the corner of Huntington, the university is well-maintained and spread out between "city" streets. It seems large, considering its student population. About 25% of the students are from out of state, and most of those hail from Ohio, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. Addmission is relatively easy to obtain and popular majors include; Business, Education and Liberal Arts. Marshall has invested money, time and effort in their science programs including; nursing, dietetics, respiratory therapy, and athletic training programs. Marshall can give a regular student the big university 'feel and experience' with D1 athletics. The city of Huntington is working on revitalization and you really should explore the downtown when visitng the campus.
